The Human Development Initiatives-Education Trust Fund (HDI-ETF) programme started in 2014. It focuses on supporting the education of orphans, children of widows/widowers and children with disabilities who are willing to acquire an education but highly prone to dropping out of school due to the inability of surviving parents or guardians to meet the children’s educational needs. Since its inception, well over 500 students have been enrolled on the HDI-ETF scheme. They have found hope through your generous donations. The special scholarship scheme ensures that beneficiaries are supported with basic educational materials such as school uniforms, pairs of socks, complete school uniforms, school sandals, school bags, mathematical sets, exercise books, core subject textbooks and learning devices for persons with disabilities from nursery to secondary level according to their needs including payment of all government-approved associated costs, NECO and JAMB fees for those in terminal classes. The scheme pays all approved school fees for those in Federal Government-owned tertiary institutions. It also provides mentorship programmes to keep beneficiaries focused, explore opportunities and maintain good academic performance. We cannot leave them halfway, they need your continued support!
